As one molecule of glucose is converted to two molecules of lacic acid and energy released is 196 kJ per mol, while the two ATP molecules produced captures 2* 30.5 KJ per mol of energy, ie, 61 KJ per mol. Hence 61 out of 196 kJ ie 31 percent is stored.
