    Let the total distance between Nehrunagar to Indiranagar = x km
    Time taken for A to reach Indiranagar = Distance/speed = x/5 hours
    Time taken for B to reach Gandhinagar from Nehrunagar = 27/7 hrs
    Hence, distance between Indiranagar and Gandhinagar = (27 – x) km
    Time taken by B to cover this distance = (27 – x)/7 hours
    The time taken by A to reach Indiranagar = Time taken by B to reach Gandhinagar and come back to Indiranagar
    Hence,
    x/5 = 27/7 + (27 – x)/7
    x/5 – (27 – x)/7 = 27/7
    On solving further,
    (7x – 135 + 5x)/35 = 27/7
    12x – 135 = 135
    or, 12x = 270
    x = 22.5 kms”
