    X clearly denotes the calcitic rock (Marl is a carbonate rich mud Or mudstone and is basically an impure limestone one can say). Y clearly denotes the Dolomitic limestone. For more information refer attached figure. (apexes are reversed but it will surely help you out).

    didn't get why aren't we exactly calling it calc silicate and marl instead

    Calc silicate rocks are mainly metamorphic rock which consist of calcium bearing silicate like dolomite and wollastonite and so it is formed by the metamorphism of impure limestone or dolomite... So you cannot directly write it as calc silicate rock, as it is also visible in the triangular plot that X is either calcitic rock or impure limestone..
