    Answer= 1.8 The amount of tetrahedral Al = Tetrahedral cations required to complete the Amphibole structure - Number of Si present as tetrahedral cation = 8.0 - 6.2 = 1.8 So, 1.8 Al is present as tetrahedral cation and remaining 1.2 (= 3.0 - 1.8) is present as octahedral Al in the given Edinite formula.
