    Clearly in path 2 , one can see increase in physical conditions (pressure and temperature) or in general a characteristic of prograde Metamorphism. This path is considered to be the norm for regional metamorphism which involves intense deformation(or one can say a typical P-T-t path for an orogenic belt which experiences crustal Thickening)... So correct option is (b) Path 2...

    Sorry for late reply.... Well coming to your question... Path 1 as you can see it shows that there is isothermal decompression, clearly pressure decreases at constant temperature(more of a retrograde metamorphism).. Path 3 shows different physical situations under which rock is heated and cooled at some constant pressure (isobaric condition), most probably due to magmatic intrusion , hence a possible path for a contact metamorphism.. Path 4 is a counter clockwise P-T-t path, occurring on a prominent scale in high grade gneisses and granulite facies terranes(resulted due to intrusion of mainly mafic magma in crustal part.
