    terrestrial environment is least for preservation due to oxidation of dead organism and erosion of strata.

    It has to be terrestrial. As in terrestrial environment burial takes place on a pronounced scale and it might be possible that some erosive actions might lead to breakdown of the fossils and sometimes the fossils like body or trace fossils are found buried in the sedimentary rocks.

    Yes it can be..As fluvial channels have very low preservation capacity. But they have various trace fossils preserved in it, and it doesn't have that erosive action which will lead to break down of the fossils as it's possible in case of terrestrial environment (consist of various agents which will surely lead to burial and erosion) but in case of fluvial no such interference with the trace fossils are found. Palaeophycus, Scoyenia, Skolithos or some other are also found in fluvial deposits. You might have seen in books that various trace fossils has been discoverd on a prominent scale from middle siwaliks(even of eocene or miocene epochs).
