Time management is very much important in IIT JAM. The eduncle test series for IIT JAM Mathematical Statistics helped me a lot in this portion. I am very thankful to the test series I bought from eduncle.

Answer (b) C14 Holocene rocks are younger than 11700 years and hence in order to date Holocene rocks, we have to use the radioactive isotope with half lifes in order of 5000 to 10000 years. C14 radioactive Isotope has half life of around 5500 years and hence can be used to date Holocene rocks precisely. Other given isotopes (K-Ar, U-Pb, Rb-Sr) have very high half life and hence can not be used to date Holocene rocks.
