    Answer (b) C14 Holocene rocks are younger than 11700 years and hence in order to date Holocene rocks, we have to use the radioactive isotope with half lifes in order of 5000 to 10000 years. C14 radioactive Isotope has half life of around 5500 years and hence can be used to date Holocene rocks precisely. Other given isotopes (K-Ar, U-Pb, Rb-Sr) have very high half life and hence can not be used to date Holocene rocks.

    HOLOCENE MEANS RECENT AGE SO THE LESS THE HALF LIFE WE CAN USE IN RECENT DATING so carbon 14 is the answer
