note here it is not given that a is parameter

    eduncle-logo-app

if you take a as parameter. then follow #arzoo method

I guess for family of curves, we have to consider 'a' as parameter.

    eduncle-logo-app

    a is parameter

    eduncle-logo-app

#arzoo, please visit him just previous post, you find that there they mention a being parameter. and second this is that if in the question none option is not present then you will absolutely right. but there is 50% probability also of my answer.

#rajat, when it is not mention in question you have to consider all the possibilities

    eduncle-logo-app

if #arzoo doesn't answer on your post before me then I explain both the condition. but I found that she already done that so I left that case, and explain that in comment box

note that never take anything for granted, if there nothing mention then consider all cases. you don't face any kind of problems in exam

thanks bro. I noted your point.

They have to mention that 'a' is parameter here. But if we assume that here a could be fixed then we can't obtain differential equation. Because for that we need family of curves. So either we can say a is parameter or question is meaningless.
