Correct Answer:Option B. Explanation:- The abundant overgrowth of Blue green alga Trichodesmium erythraeum in a inlet of Indian Ocean between Africa and Asia creates a occasional bloom resulting into a red sea. The red colour is due to the presence of a pigment called phycoerythrin on it. Indeedly, it is due to the phenomenon called Gaidukov's phenomenon which means complementary chromatic adaptation. The Blue green algae(Cyanobacteria ) has this adaptation which changes their body colour according to different wavelengths of available light. Hence due to the adaption of this phenomenal changes in Cyanobacteria Trichodesmium erythraeum , it results into a red sea.
