Time management is very much important in IIT JAM. The eduncle test series for IIT JAM Mathematical Statistics helped me a lot in this portion. I am very thankful to the test series I bought from eduncle.

In this question you have to calculate the area within the shaded region. So, the amount of work done would be equal to the area under the shaded region. Now you can see that there are 2 types of structure beneath the shaded region - 1st one is Right Angle Triangle whose Area is 1/2 height* base 2nd is Rectangle whose Area = Length * Breadth So, now going fir calculation part Area of Right Angle Triangle = 1/2 * 2*3 = 3. as its height = 3 & base length = 2 m from the diagram Area of rectangle = 4*2 = 8. length = 2 Height = 4 So total Area of both combined under the shaded region when added = (8+3) = 11 . So the work done would be equal to 11 J.
