    ma'am, cos(-π\4)=1/✓2 but you have written -1/✓2

    eduncle-logo-app

    and I don't understand the last line..i.e how 1/✓2< cos (something)<1??????

    eduncle-logo-app

yes, cos(-π/4) = 1/√2 ...range of cos is [-1,1] ....we know that 1/√2 <1 so right hand side part I replaced by 1

    eduncle-logo-app

    so that's y I wrote 1/√2 < cos{....} < 1 means sequence is bounbed and monotonic....every bounded monotonic sequence is convergent

    thank you ma'am
