(B) 4 axes of 3 fold symmetry Point groups belonging to isometric system don't necessarily have 3 axes of 4 fold axes but it must contain 4 axes 3 fold symmetry. It can be seen by looking at the point groups belonging to isometric system as listed below in the attached figure. By looking at the attached figure carefully, you will notice that point groups belonging to isometric system always have 3 fold axes and may or may not have 4 fold axes.

Isometric system is characterized by 4 axis of 3 fold symmetry that is why in HM symbol of isometric system point group having 3 in every symbol. for example 432, 4/m 3bar 2/m,23,2/m3bar 3 is always the second symbol
