    The Supreme court of the high court in excise of the power of Judicial Review can declare a law passed by the Parliament or State Legislature as invalid on the grounds that:
            (i)    It is not within the competence of the Legislature which passed the law.
            (ii)    It is in contravention of the fundamental rights stipulated in Part III of the Constitution or any other provision of the constitution.
