The 'X' River is an intermittent river in India and Pakistan that flows only during monsoon season. It is believed that 'Y' subsequently reduced 'X' to the seasonal river it is today. During 'Y' the temperature underwent severe oscillations which had a severe impact on flora and fauna and thus affecting the evolution of human civilization. Identify 'X' and 'Y'
