in this question zero degree should work as source and absolute temperature as a Sink so it becomes like 1- (-273)/0 bcz in place of T1 we place higher temperature but it is not happened here why

    remember alwys change Celsius to kelvin while solving problems in thermodynamics.. here in the ques, it is given absolute temp and zero. absolute zero means zero kelvin not zero Celsius..

    Always remember: Sink temperature is less than Source temperature. See the attached. Do ask doubts if any. Best regards.

    Answer: Actually the zero given here is not zero celsius ,it's 0 K ( which will be our sink) and the any other temperature T K( given in absolute unit meaning in Kelvin). So puting T2=0K , results in e=1( which is the limit of carnot's engine) .Please look at the two pictures for more discription .
