Thermodynamics

an ideal gas has a specific heat ratio Cp/Cv=2. Starting at temperature T1 the gas undergoes an isothermal compression to increase its density by a factor of 2 after this an adiabatic compression increase its pressure by factor of 2. The temperature of the gas at the end of the second process would be........

I have attached a detailed solution. In the begining of solution, I have given some extra formulae which will help you to find out Cv and Cp from given Y(gamma). Other than that I have used equation of isothermal and adiabetic processes respectively. Do ask doubts if any. Regards.

solution: here is the method and the solution. I think this question can be done without doing the density part also, bcz it doesn't play any significant step for the final step, so one can directly do final adiabatic step. Though soemtimes this type of question come in exam trick the student.
