yes, i have taken -COOR rather than -OCOR but upon hydrolysis it also gives -OH so please correct it.

    ok sir

Why Ch2cl carbonyl attacks first alcl3 while it is less eletron dense Dinesh sir. please Answer this

so if you know everything the why you always gives basic reaction mechanism from YouTube. you must provide you own mechanism

The mechanism is explained in this video. https://youtu.be/Pmv5HYICotY

here orho and para both the products are formed but para is the majar product due to less steric repulsion

Why Ch2cl carbonyl attacks first alcl3 while it is less eletron dense Dinesh sir

    eduncle-logo-app

AlCl3 is Lewis acid and has the tendency to accept lone pair

    eduncle-logo-app

See the question other group is -ocoor. Then This carbonyl carbon has more eletron density. You have taken the substrate also wrong

    eduncle-logo-app

where is -OCOOR it is -OCOR

    eduncle-logo-app

Wahi -ocor... and see what you have taken

    eduncle-logo-app

-ocor its carbonyl carbon is more eletron dense to donate AlCl3

    eduncle-logo-app

In last step also ester ka hydrolysis .... product alcohol how?

    eduncle-logo-app

I've said that -OCOR upon hydrolysis give -OH, and by mistake I've taken COOR

    eduncle-logo-app

Then again...Why Ch2cl carbonyl attacks first alcl3 while it is less eletron dense Dinesh sir
