If the initial velocity of the second asteroid was v and those of its components are also v each, then the velocity of the first asteroid after the impact can be deduced as (A) same as initial velocity (B) 0 (C) twice the initial velocity (D) any arbitrary value

    Masses of asteroids is not given, in that case option (a) is possible, is residue of second asteroids mives perpendicular to first asteroid. option (d) is also possible, Direction of motions has to be mentioned.
