    As pressure is constant. V ∝ T  (V2/V1) = (T2/T1) ∴ {(V2 – V1) / V1} = {(T2 – T1)/T1} (1) given: T1 = 20°C = 273 + 20 = 293K  T2 = 40°C = 273 + 40 = 313 K  From (1), (ΔV/V) = {(313 – 293)/(293)} = 0.07 ∴ Fraction of gas = 0.07 coming out

you know Charles law states that volume is directly proportional to temperature T that is V2 / V1 = T2/T1 given to you data that T2 = 273 +40 =313K and T1 = 20+273 =293 K so fraction of volume which comes out = V2-V1 /V1....you put all these data and you get the answer
