To start preparing for UGC NET, you must check if you are eligible for the Social Work exam.

The UGC NET Eligibility Criteria of the aspirants are as per the guidelines provided by NTA. To appear for the JRF and assistant professor in social work, you must fulfill the education qualification and age limit criteria which are as follows: -

 

Education Qualification

Masters’ in Social Work or related subjects with a minimum of 55% (For General)

Masters’ in Social Work or related subjects with minimum 50% (For OBC/ SC/ ST/ PwD/ Transgender).

Age Limit

For NET JRF - 31 years (For General) and 36 years (for OBC/ SC/ ST/ PwD/ Female/ Transgender)

For Assistant Professor - No age limit

The exam will be conducted into two papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2.
