    Under the Mines Act'1952 it provides for the health safety and well being of persons employed in mines. The act regulate the working conditions and environment in mines with a view to making work more humane and to provide for measures to prevents accidents and occupational diseases and contain provision of some basic amenities to mine workers. It also prescribes a system of inspection of mines for enforcement of the legislation.
