Time management is very much important in IIT JAM. The eduncle test series for IIT JAM Mathematical Statistics helped me a lot in this portion. I am very thankful to the test series I bought from eduncle.

Take one example : - Heat transfer from a hot object to a cold one is an irreversible process that produces an overall increase in entropy. It is reasonable that entropy increases for heat transfer from hot to cold. Since the change in entropy is Q/T ,there is a larger change at lower temperatures. The decrease in entropy of the hot object is therefore less than the increase in entropy of the cold object, producing an overall increase, just as in the previous example. This result is very general: There is an increase in entropy for any system undergoing an irreversible process. so , I think answer given is wrong Both the options are correct A & D
