    Ans:(B). Increase in Al Increase in Al (network formers) will lead to increase in viscosity of magma. Increase in H2O will depolymerize the magma and will lead to decrease in viscosity of magma. Increase in Mg will also decrease in viscosity of magma.

    but silica rich magam i.e rhyolitic is highly viscous having abundant volatiles i.e h2o

    High viscosity of magma is because of polymerization (not because of presence of H2O). Water has the effect of depolymerizing magmas. That means that adding water breaks oxygen bonds in magmatic network.
