Correct answer would be (D) . Arkose being a sedimentary rock having feldspar and quartz which is quite similar to granite if you talk about mineralogy . The only contrast that best satisfies the given question is texture. Granite being intrusive igneous rock will have phaneritic texture (characteristics of intrusive igneous rocks) and arkose being sedimentary and contains clasts, so it will have clastic texture...

    D. Texture The most probable answer of this question should be Texture. Granite is an igneous rock whereas arkose is a Sedimentary rock. Granite will show igneous texture (interlocking texture) and arkose show Sedimentary texture (clastic texture). Granite and arkose can't be distinguished accurately on the basis of Mineralogy, grain size and geochemistry because an arkose derived from granite will have similar composition.
