The value of 22/7 is 3.14285731428573142857… We saw that its decimals repeats after every 6 decimals. So, it is a non terminating recurring decimal so it is a rational number.
pi is irrational number because its non terminating and non repeating .. 22/7 is rational no. because it is satisfying definition of rational number (p/q form ) .. 22/7 is app...

If 22/7 is rational then it must end, right? but it does not end at all.

Value of Pi is not exactly 3.14, we use it just for our convince only. Pi is the ratio of circumference of a circle to its diameter. and its value is irrational number 3.141592653...
