got it sahiba or any doubt??

    eduncle-logo-app

means it is a rearrangement through bond

    eduncle-logo-app

yes mainly rapid interchange takes place between groups so that NMR give only one signal at room temp...

There are some molecules which suffers conformational rearrangement in which some atoms are actually interchange their configuration. If the barrier to such stereochemical changes is not high then they can change their configuration by using thermal energies available at ordinary temparature.Such stereochemically non rigid covalent molecules are called FLUXIONAL molecules.

Pentacoordinate molecules of trigonal pyramidal geometry typically exhibit a particular kind of low energy fluxional behavior called Berry pseudorotation. Famous examples of such molecules are iron pentacarbonyl (Fe(CO)5) and phosphorus pentafluoride (PF5)
