    Major wavelengths used in remote sensing is infrared and visible region. The most common sensors are visible and infrared, followed by micro wave, gamma ray and rarely, ultraviolet. Electro magnetic radiation. EMR is a wide range of radiations categorised into subparts on the basis of wavelength/frequency. attachmet below
