    A line integral over a *perfect* differential, also known as an exact differential, is path independent. The integral only depends om the end points. Unlike integrals over inexact differentials which give different values depending on the path... prefect(i.e exact) and imperfect (i.e inexact) differential have separate topic in mp while they are used in different terms in different parts of physics,like in thermodynamics, we say the process that are exact differential does not follow path and they are point functions ,known as extensive properties... like this, there are many uses of exact and inexact differentials..
