What correction you need to show on a geological map prepared using brunton compass? describe the geographic coordinate system?

    Because a brunton compass measures bearings relative to magnetic rather than geographic north, a coreection is required. This correction is made on the compass itself. By making this correction, the compass pointer is pointing to true north when the white end of the needle is pointing at 0°. A geographic coordinate system (GCS) uses a three-dimensional spherical surface to define locations on the earth. A datum is only one part of a GCS. A GCS includes an angular unit of measure, a prime meridian, and a datum (based on a spheroid).
