What is asteral microtubule in cell division

    In animal cell, astral microtubules are found during mitosis. It is not found in plant cell mitosis. Aster is a cellular organelle found in animal cell which consists centrosomes and its microtubules. Astral rays which is composed of microtubules radiate from centrosphere during animal cells' early stage mitosis. Mitotic spindles are made up of protein microtubules. Astral microtubules connect these spindles to orient themselves in right order and make the plane of cell division correct. Hope this will be beneficial for you.
