In igneous petrology, form, structure and structure are all different. Form refers to the shape and size of igneous bodies like concordant and discordant bodies. The forms are named as sills, dykes, lopolith, batholith, laccolith, etc. Texture refers to the relation between crystals or that between the crystals and glassy matter present within the igneous rock. The texture is named as holocrystalline, holohyalline, myrmekitic, porphyritic, etc. Structure refers to the mega, micro and minor structures. They are named as vesicular, amygdaloidal, ropy lava, pillow lava, etc. This property depends mostly on the composition and viscosity of the magma.
