Time management is very much important in IIT JAM. The eduncle test series for IIT JAM Mathematical Statistics helped me a lot in this portion. I am very thankful to the test series I bought from eduncle.

Oppenauer Oxidation is the process of conversion of secondary alcohols to ketones by selective oxidation. This reaction is named after Rupert Viktor Oppenauer. Oxidation reaction takes place in the presence of [Al(i-Pro)3] in excess of acetone. It is an aluminium alkoxide catalysed the oxidation of a secondary alcohol to the corresponding ketone. This is reverse of the Meerwein Ponndorf Verley reduction. It is a very good method to oxidize allylic alcohols to α, β- unsaturated ketones.
Reverse of oppenauer Oxidation is known as MPV reduction
mean both the process takes place simultaneously
check it
if any other doubt ask me
sir in oppenauers oxd primary alcohol converted to aldehyde or not
2° alcohol to ketone
but sir here given both
yes yes 1° alcohol can also be oxidising but we generally talk about 2°
ok sir
Al(OCHME2)3 is aluminium iso proppoxide na
yes
ok sir
