What is the reason behind it.pls explain it

O A rod is hanging vertically from a pivot. A particle traveling in horizontal direction collides with the rod as shown in the figure.     when it is fixed about a point so linear moment is not conserved

    since rod is fixed it's linear momentum is not conserved but the rod particle is hanging and it will collide so rod will osllicate it's angular momentum is conserved so the option which should be correct is c only
