pH is a measure of how acidic/basic water is. The range goes from 0 - 14, with 7 being neutral. pHs of less than 7 indicate acidity, whereas a pH of greater than 7 indicates a base. pH is really a measure of the relative amount of free hydrogen and hydroxyl ions in the water. The pH scale measures how acidic or basic a substance is The pH scale measures whether there is more hydronium or hydroxide in a solution. In other words, it tells us how basic or acidic the solution is. ... A higher pH means it is more alkaline or a stronger base. Chemistry classes will often use a litmus test to identify acids from bases.

sir I can't understand the difference between this 2

    eduncle-logo-app

simple we can say Ph is the concentration of H+ ion and Ph scale is the scale which is used to measure ph with reference to the water

    eduncle-logo-app

ok sir and which is temp dependent

    eduncle-logo-app

    yes

    eduncle-logo-app

*pH decreases with increase in temperature. But this does not mean that water becomes more acidic at higher temperatures.

ok sir tq so much sir

ph is potential of hydrogen ... ph scale is for measurement of pH

    eduncle-logo-app

    samjh nahi aya sir ?

    eduncle-logo-app

The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14. The pH of a solution is a measure of its acidity or alkalinity ( base).

    eduncle-logo-app

pH scale bs compare krta hai acidity or basicity by the number marking from 0 to 14 on it

    eduncle-logo-app

sir for all compounds Ph scale 0..to 14 hota he kya

    eduncle-logo-app

https://www.pharmaguideline.com/2018/01/why-ph-value-is-measured-between-0-and-14.html?m=1 check this good article on this question

    eduncle-logo-app

    got this?

    eduncle-logo-app

yes sir it good but I can't found my correct ans ..?

    eduncle-logo-app

simun these term are used interchangeably ...so don't be confuse

    eduncle-logo-app

sir ph scale temp dependent and Ph is temp independent why ?

    eduncle-logo-app

ph is temp dependent....ph scale to bs ph measure krne liye use hota hai 0 to 14 mark rhta hai....

    eduncle-logo-app

change to ph honge na...ph scale to constant hi rahenge na

    eduncle-logo-app

but sir jab water 25 degrees c mein hoga tho uska neutralization point 7hoga and when in 90degree c hoga tho nutralisation point 6 hoga

    eduncle-logo-app

tho change tho scale mein hua na sir

    eduncle-logo-app

scale to same hi rha na..temp badhne pe ph decrease krte hai...to neutralization point 7 se ghatke 6 ho gya

    eduncle-logo-app

koi bhi instrument to constant hi rahte hai na...bs reading change hote hai

    eduncle-logo-app

    ye dekhia sir

    eduncle-logo-app

yes sahi hai...calculation bhi thk hai...temp increase krne pe ph decreases hota hai...bs itna hi change aata hai ab jo neutral point 7 pe tha ph scale pe...ab wo 6 pe rahega...to ph hi change hua na...jiske karan ph scale me reading kam ya jyada hua

    eduncle-logo-app

tho sir ph temp dependent hua na

    eduncle-logo-app

yes ye to maine bola hi

    eduncle-logo-app

    ok sir tqq

    eduncle-logo-app

    yes sure why not

    eduncle-logo-app

    tq so much sir

    eduncle-logo-app

    welcome

    eduncle-logo-app

sir es cleden ka kon kon sa chap imp he jam k lia

    eduncle-logo-app

yellow highlighted and red highlighted are imp part

    eduncle-logo-app
