What is the possible plunge direction of a line that pitches at 30° on the plane s60°e/50°s?

a-45°,b-110°,c-140°,d-180°

    Answer: 140 The two possible plunge direction of the line pitches 30° on plane S60E/50°S are 140 and 282 as shown in the attached stereonet (dots on the plane is representing line which pitches 30° in that plane). In the options only 140 is given so the correct answer would be 140.

    140 degree is a possibility. From formula you can know the exact orientation but .. As the bed is steep one 50 degree dip so rake of 30 degree will never be in 180 direction. other value are just out of the plane zone so I Elliminated them
