See When we are asked about solubility we generally take the solvent as water. There is a very famous saying 'like dissolve like'. So in water ionic compound are more soluble but we take solvent as benzene then covalent compound are more soluble

    eduncle-logo-app

could you please tell me that pericyclic reactions is an important chapter or not?

    eduncle-logo-app

How many questions come from this chapter in CUCET ?

Smaller theย cation, greater is itsย polarising power. Larger theย chargeย on theย cation, greater is itsย polarising power. Henceย covalent characterย increases . Greater theย chargeย on the anion, more easily it getsย polarisedย ...

    eduncle-logo-app

more the covalent character, lesser is the solubility

    eduncle-logo-app

    got meghna??

    eduncle-logo-app

if you have any doubt meghna then please ask and accept the answer if you got it๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

    eduncle-logo-app

sir what is the difference between polarization and polarising power? Are they same or different

    eduncle-logo-app

polarising power is used for cationic species...so that it deform the electron cloud of anionic species

    eduncle-logo-app

polarisation is just a concept in which polarising power is there for cation and polarisibilty is there for anion

    eduncle-logo-app

    thank you sir

    eduncle-logo-app

    I got it

    eduncle-logo-app

    welcome meghna๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘

    eduncle-logo-app

    Sir I have a question

    eduncle-logo-app

    yes meghna ask

    eduncle-logo-app

How many questions come from Pericyclic reactions in CUCET?

    eduncle-logo-app

    is this topic important??

    eduncle-logo-app

I think this chapter is not included in iit jam syllabus

    eduncle-logo-app

    sir please reply ๐Ÿ™

    eduncle-logo-app

meghna...pericyclic is there in jam syllabus...diels alder, electrocyclic sigmatropic part

    eduncle-logo-app

for cucet there are basic questions asked...organic part ques level is good

    eduncle-logo-app

could you please tell me some selected topics which come in CUCET

    eduncle-logo-app

first read meghna basics part like goc first...and practice all questions of goc..then it gives u basic idea and also you gain interest in learning organic chem

    eduncle-logo-app

    for CUCET meghna??

    eduncle-logo-app

    yes sir

    eduncle-logo-app

in 2021 you will give entrance na??

    eduncle-logo-app

25.ques asked from org part...i have seen previous year ques...organic part level was good...10 ques u can do directly...for 15 ques...mainly ques asked from goc part reaction mechanism and named reaction part

    eduncle-logo-app

for your convenience , i will analyse previous year questions and topic wise i will put it here...u can see tomorrow...

More the charge density, more will be the polarizing power, more will be the covalency. Hence lesser will be the solubility.

    eduncle-logo-app

    eduncle-logo-app

So Do the Solubility question accordingly.

    eduncle-logo-app

    ok sir

    thank you
