    it should be imagined by viral infection. viruses do the same, they infect host cell and insert their Genetic material into host chromosome. Actually it is difficult to say what will happen because it depends where the foreign dna is inserted. i mean to say a nucleotide sequence where the viral genetic material is i corporated. if it is non coding region then no effect but if it is inserted into coding or regulatory region should harm positively or negatively to host cell or organism.
