I don't understand how to find integration of open interval (-1,1) max {2-x,2,1+x} please help me sir

    mam you solve the problem with two region but there are 3 region where y=1+x went

    and mam also I see for x>0 the max of y is 1+x so why I don't take y=1+x

    in region x €(-1,0) max = 2-x and at x€(0,1) max = y=2, at x>1 max= 1+x
