In pyrrole, the lone pair electrons of the nitrogen atom is actively involved with the two carbon-carbon double bonds in the 5-member ring to form a conjugated system of pi electrons, leading to greater stability of the molecule. Pyridine, on the other hand, already has a stable conjugated system of 3 double bonds in the aromatic hexagonal ring, like benzene. Hence the lone pair electrons on the N atom in pyridine can be easily donated to a H+ ion or a Lewis acid. Therefore, pyridine is a stronger base than pyrrole. Pyridine is more basic than aniline and pyrrole

    pyridine is most basic here

    eduncle-logo-app

pyrrole is least basic as lone pair is a part of aromatic ring so not available for donation

    eduncle-logo-app

In aniline the lone pair on nitrogen take part in Resonance..so not available for donation

    eduncle-logo-app

In pyridine the lone pair is localised..

    got this shweta?

    eduncle-logo-app

why pyridine lone pair donot participate in resonance

    eduncle-logo-app

    sir

    eduncle-logo-app

pyridine aromatic hai or lone pair yha delocalised hai...

    eduncle-logo-app

    resonance possible nhi hai
