Correct answer would be (D) Mariana Trench. I've already mentioned the reason behind positive and negative gravity anomaly in your previous question. Just remember that Negative gravity anomalies are interpreted to mean that the segments of the lithosphere that underlie trenches are being forced down against buoyant isostatic forces leading to mass deficit other depression. Note: Don't worry about this topic it will never come in jam. As this topic primarily belongs to Gate syllabus and if you are preparing for gate as well (cuz as per new rules you can appear for gate in your third yr of bachelors and that score will be valid for 3 years), then you can read this topic from William Lowrie or Musset and Khan books for Geophysics.
No,Sir I am not preparing for any other exam than JAM GG. And also I don't know about Gate ..How is it ..Why to give this exam ..I only know That I can do Masters from IITs so I want to crack JAM.
Well vaibhav, you might be knowing that to do mtech or for placement in psu, you are bound to have good rank in gate exam. That will surely help you to elevate your chances of getting interviewed by various companies not only from india but from other countries as well. Though odds are not in favor of the students this year as ongc has not given any remark about the interview and placements. GATE is an all india level exam which is conducted by IITs every year for the students aspiring to do Mtech in their respective field or getting an edge for the placement in PSUs
