Time management is very much important in IIT JAM. The eduncle test series for IIT JAM Mathematical Statistics helped me a lot in this portion. I am very thankful to the test series I bought from eduncle.

Answer- C Sandstone would make best aquifer because of it's porous and permeable nature. Sandstones comprise grains of size range of 1/16mm to 2mm which create sufficient space. Shale works as an aquitard (low permeability). Mudstone and massive Basalt behave as an aquifuge (neither porous nor permeable). So the correct answer is sandstone. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any doubt.
