    One must consider factors like Sublimation Enthalpy,Ionization Enthalpy,EGE,Hydration Enthalpy. You have to compare the standard reduction potential values that sum up all of these. The standard oxidation potential and the standard reduction potential are opposite in sign to each other for the same chemical species. Remember this:More is the value of standard reduction/oxidation potential,more easily the reduction/oxidation can be carried out .

    In reactivity series you have learn metal with high reactivity liberates H2 gas from aqeous solution....copper has positive reduction potential...So it is unable to liberate H2 gas and lie below in the reactivity table
