here one products predominates over other..more stable product is formed inwhich anti conformation is present

  • Simun mishra

means from syn and anti ...product anti is the major so

    eduncle-logo-app

no, simun.. here we will talk about only anti products. if two antipriducts are possible then one will be major

    eduncle-logo-app

    check it

    eduncle-logo-app

in this picture the Hb is in dash ...and br is also in dash so here antiperiplanar structure how possible

    eduncle-logo-app

    pls help in this ...

  • Simun mishra

    means the anti product ...

    eduncle-logo-app

yes, but only one Anti product is possible then it is known as stereospecific but more than 1 anti products are formed then there is one product major so it is known as stereoselectivity

    Dinesh khalmaniya 1 best-answer

because here only one product is formed as a major product

    eduncle-logo-app

can u give ur video lecture about Ei ...

    eduncle-logo-app

    yes, wait

    eduncle-logo-app

    ok

    eduncle-logo-app

    ok sry

    eduncle-logo-app

    check it

    eduncle-logo-app

here two antiperiplanar elimination is possible but only one product is major

    eduncle-logo-app

    got it??

    eduncle-logo-app

    no

    eduncle-logo-app

okay tell me what is your doubt so i can help you

    eduncle-logo-app

first of all try to understand what is stereoselectivity. stereoselectivity simply mean if in a reaction if more than one products are formed and out of all the products only one product is formed as a major and another remaining products will be minor. this is the stereoselectivity. if in a reaction, only one product is formed so it is stereospecific

    eduncle-logo-app

    got it simun??

    eduncle-logo-app

yes ...perfectly I got it ...tq

    eduncle-logo-app

now same case in E2, if there is two antiperiplanar alpha H is present then there is possible to form two products. so out of two one will be major

    eduncle-logo-app

    now check this image,

    eduncle-logo-app

    hope you will get it..

    eduncle-logo-app

    please accept the answer ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜Š

    eduncle-logo-app

I m asking a question in my comment pls solve this

    eduncle-logo-app

    yes

    eduncle-logo-app

    can u find my question

    eduncle-logo-app

no, i didn't get it. you can share it in new query so we can discuss properly

    eduncle-logo-app

the image u send ..in this ..br and hb are in dash ....so how it will be anti periplanar to each other ..?

    eduncle-logo-app

    wait..

    eduncle-logo-app

    ok

    eduncle-logo-app

convert it to newman conformation so you can get the answer

    eduncle-logo-app

please mark my answer as best if you really satisfied ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™ I'll be happy to help you

    eduncle-logo-app

when it converted to fisher projection then the ha and Br are in same side so how it will be anti periplanar

    eduncle-logo-app

no, simun don't solve it using fisher formula because it is eclipsed conformation. you have to change it newman

    eduncle-logo-app

    ok
