Why eigenvector cant be zero...pls once tell.also i have attached one example ... why there k≠0 ..what will happen if k=0..

    By the definition of Eigen vector it is non zero.

    Refer attached definition of Eigen vector , Eigen vector should be non zero , that's why k not equal to 0

    eigen vector definition is " if A is any nxn matrix and Lemda is a scalar then a non zero vector x is said to be Eigen vector and Lemda is called Eigen valus of matrix A such that Ax = Lemda x note - Eigen vector is always a LI vector and we know that zero vector is LD vector hence Eigen vector never a zero vector always we have to find a non zero vector

    if in your example you put k= 0 then we get [0,0] vector which is LD but eigen vector is always LI so here we have to mention k not equal to zero
