sulphonation takes place in presence of H2SO4. here electrophile is SO3

this is for phenol what about benzenr

    eduncle-logo-app

dono k liye electrophile to same hi hoga na

    eduncle-logo-app

    check this

    ....

    eduncle-logo-app

dono possible he pr yha SO3H pe + charge ayega

    eduncle-logo-app

actually electrophile to SO3 hi he pr H2SO4 so H+ accept kr skta he so SO3 and SO3H+ dono use kr skte he dono hi correct he

No electrophile in sulphonation is SO3 not so3h. Sulphur trioxide is an electrophile because it is a highly polar molecule with a fair amount of positive charge on the sulphur atom. It is this which is attracted to the ring electrons.

sir but for benzene it is so3h

    eduncle-logo-app

elecrophile dono ke liye so3 hi hote hai

    eduncle-logo-app

oxygen ke electronegativity ke wajah se..negative charge aate hai or proton transfer se sulphonic acid bante hai

    ....

last step me proton transfer hote hai or sulphonic acid bante hai...electrophile so3 hi hote hai or reaction initiate hote hai

    eduncle-logo-app

    ok

    eduncle-logo-app

    sir...
