When the change of state of a system is brought about at constant pressure, there will be a change in volume. The heat transferred such a process is known as heat content or enthalpy.Heat is a transfer of energy due to a temperature difference

Heat is a transfer of energy due to a temperature difference. Enthalpy is the change in amount of heat in a system at constant pressure. You can only use heat and enthalpy interchangeably if there is no work being done to the system.
