Why is magnetic field negative in both the cases because it is coming outwards at z=0?

    could you plz tell how to find the resultant

    Now try to understand that Resultant B is in -x and -y direction and from there you can make an angle with -x axis and x axis

    It is Negative Acc. to Right hand thumb rule which says that current is in the thumb direction and curl of the fingers are the Magnetic field. so Apply here, At z = -a, when the current is in +x direction then curl of the fingers are towrds the - y direction and similarly at z = a when current is in +y direction then the curl of the fingers are towrds - x direction .

    i have resolved them ..but im not able to find the resultant ? and also negative sign in magnetic field ?
