why minus I effect dominates over +R effect in the case of halide

    sir.....so aryl halides never show resonance ....

    Halides show ortho para directing effect due to presence of lone pair but deacting group due to -I effect. so in case of halogens -I is dominated over +M

    actually halogens are more electronegative so pulls electrons towards it and hence show dominated -I effect
