why the energy of an electron in ground state is always negative in bohrs hydrogen model? can u explain why ?? pls

    The negative sign shows that the electron is attracted towards the nucleus by electrostatic force and to remove the electron energy must be supplied. The energy needed to remove the electron in the first orbit is +13.6 eV and this is called ionising energy of hydrogen.
