Why the Negative terminal of battery is connected to the cathode in the cathode Ray experiment? And Why the positive terminal of the battery is connected to the anode in the experiment of anode Ray?

    Cathode rays are so named because they are emitted by the negative electrode, or cathode, in a vacuum tube.
