Why the negative terminal of battery is connected to the cathode in the cathode ray experiment? and why the positive terminal of the battery is connected to the

Why the Negative terminal of battery is connected to the cathode in the cathode Ray experiment? And Why the positive terminal of the battery is connected to the anode in the experiment of anode Ray?

    While performing cathode ray experiment. It is nothing to do as why cathode is connected to negative terminal of the battery 🔋. They just connected one plate with negative terminal of the battery & one plate with +ve terminal of the battery.

    The electrode connected with negative terminal of the battery is known as cathode and the electrode connected with positive terminal of the battery is known as anode. The freely moving positively charged cations are attracted by cathode and negatively charged anions are attracted by anode. and also you know cathode ray is stream of electrons
